Multi-Start Thread Gauges

Multi-Start Thread Gauges are precision gauges designed for inspecting multi-start threads used in applications where quick axial travel with less rotational movement is required. Multi-start threads provide faster assembly and disassembly compared to conventional single-start threads.

Compared with single-start threads, multi-start threads can accommodate higher axial thrust within restricted angles of rotation, provide higher operating efficiency, and reduce the tendency of thread locking. These characteristics make them suitable for demanding mechanical and power-transmission applications.

Multi-start threads are commonly used in power-transmitting screws, valve spindles, and other precision mechanical components where rapid linear movement and controlled rotational travel are required.
